are they really making a spin-off talent search show for glee?

thegreencondom:

thegreencondom:

that’s it ryan, get all the money you can broski.

they said they were doing that for casting the new characters in season two and they never did, so i don’t know is that actually going to happen?

ahh well, i suppose there’s a new rumour going around for ssn 3 cos this is dated like two weeks ago. unless someone is incredibly slow on the uptake which i don’t doubt too much :P

i heard that was a suggested idea or something, but it got killed? but if it’s two weeks ago …

as if fox needs more talent search shows, as they have both american idol AND american x-factor.

So I agree it’s mean to gang up on Santana…

animalantagonism:

But I’m not sure what all of you were expecting. I’ve seen a lot of people on my dash basically hoping for a mental breakdown from Santana, and once people are finally being mean to her like she’s been to them and she cries, everyone gets angry about it?

You guys confuse me so much sometimes!

I do know they were all very harsh on her, but she’s also been very harsh on them. All the time, she rags on them. And we all laugh when she does it, because she’s a bitch and it’s funny. But it’s a bit of a double-standard to get offended when it happens to her but to be understanding when she does it to others because she has ~hidden feelings.

For me, it’s the fact that they ganged up on her. And I never wished for her to have a breakdown, but her getting a dose of her own medicine would be good for her. But like, for EVERYONE to gang up on her? I don’t know, to me that’s a fate that even Santana doesn’t deserve.

Does that make sense?

this whole “let’s gang up on santana” bullshit is going to piss me off.

allie-hamilton:

i’ll just be over here hating on rachel again. you know, the same thing i’ve been doing since the pilot.

OH GOD I LOVE YOU. seriously. i love santana so much. i couldn’t even get through the clip because i just got so pissed off that they were ganging up on her. it’s one thing for one person to go off, but it’s the worst when you have people that you’ve actually grown to care for (in santana’s way) all just gang up and tell you that you’re a shitty person who is going to end up a lima loser. idk, i agree that santana needs an intervention, but i in general just hate that scene and how they ended up doing it.

Normally, I don’t bother with replying to stuff posted on Glee Secrets because I either clearly agree or disagree with the secret-maker and don’t feel the need to discuss it in any way. But this? I feel like I have to defend Santana here.
Okay, yes, let’s start with Quinn, shall we? Remember when she was pregnant? Remember when Santana didn’t tell anyone about it? She could’ve told Coach Sylvester which would’ve more or less guaranteed her place as the head of the Cheerios yet she didn’t say a thing. Why? Because, on some level, Quinn was her friend and she was willing to put her own wants aside because of that.
And what did Quinn do in return? She ratted out Santana to Sue the first chance she got so she could get back onto the Cheerios and be in charge again. For Quinn, it was all about being popular. For Santana, it was about being a friend. Now tell me, who’s the bitch in this situation?
As for the fight itself, ask yourself - how would you feel in that situation? Put aside the fact that Quinn effectively betrayed Santana, how would you feel always being second best to girls like Quinn Fabray? Sue chose Quinn over Santana as head cheerleader, despite the fact that Quinn had gotten herself pregnant; Quinn is the kind of girl a guy like Puck could - and did - fall in love with, Santana isn’t; Quinn is wanted by almost everyone while Santana struggles everyday with her self-esteem - and goes to extreme lengths in an attempt to rectify it - because she feels like she’s not noticed enough.
Moving on to Artie: Yes, Santana was a bitch to him - she even admitted as much - but she wasn’t being a bitch just to be a bitch. She clearly has feelings for Brittany but, for whatever reason, she doesn’t want to or feel like she can admit them - to herself or to anyone else. Is it so wrong that, in that moment, she was jealous of Artie for what he can have with Brittany that she feels like she can’t? Her saying all those things wasn’t her being a bully because she has ‘no conscience whatsoever’, it’s because she’s afraid of her feelings.
This has come into play several times over the course of Season 2. You mention her ‘using Brittany’ when Puck wasn’t around yet I don’t see it that way at all. It was only when Brittany mentioned Melissa Etheridge’s Come To My Window that Santana freaked out and started talking about Puck. She was afraid of how singing that song in public could be interpreted by others (note how Finn also mentions to Sam in the same episode that singing a duet with Kurt could be a bad idea) and being labelled as ‘gay’ or being slushied because of her feelings for a girl is something she’s just not ready for. So, yeah, she says some mean things but she’s not saying them because she wants to hurt Brittany, it’s a defence mechanism.
Again, the gay jokes? That’s her using humour and snark to hide what she really feels inside. It’s possible that on some level she even resents Kurt a little bit for being able to be who he is, even when he’s bullied for it, because she doesn’t feel as if she’s strong enough to do the same.
The reason Finn and Rachel broke up was not because of Santana. She may have played a part but they had their own issues going on before she was even in the picture. Rachel has insecurities and Santana may have played on them - again, this is more than her just being ‘rude, mean and a bully’ - but Rachel was the one that made a conscious decision to make out with Puck and that’s what lead to the break up with Finn. To say that Santana is the ‘main’ reason they broke up is just ridiculous.
You’re welcome to your opinion, secret-maker, and I respect that even if I don’t agree with it and maybe you’re right that she’s not as well-developed as she could or should be but I still love what we’ve seen of her. You wanna know why? Because of all those reasons you said. Because what they show is that she’s not perfect; that she has flaws. That she’s more than just a ‘bully’ or the typical mean girl. There’s more to her than that.
That’s why I love her.
(P.S. I’ve never hated on Rachel. She’s one of my favourite characters on the show.)

There are a few key pieces of this well-written response that correctly highlight why I vehemently despise Quinn Fabray.

Uh, this is every reason I love Santana Lopez.
And, also, there are scenes where it shows Santana has some sort of conscience for what she’s done. It’s been more than one puppy face at the wedding. It’s little faces like that one face that we’ve seen all through the show.
Sure, she’s done all of that stuff, and if Santana were real and in my high school, I might hate her. But, I also would probably love her if I had gotten to be her friend.

fml why is there pezberry on my dash?

animalantagonism:

Sorry Ducky, I was getting into a fight with some Pezberry fans.

GOOD. well. not that there has to be pezberry involved. but of all of the ships to ship … that makes about as much sense as finn hudson dancing. and as appealing too.
